A little space for you, too.

What might it feel like to have a little time that's just for you?

To gather with others who understand something of your world. To feel connected, supported and held in community, without needing to explain yourself or have all the answers.

The Parent Carer Circle is a welcoming online gathering for parents and carers of neurodivergent, disabled and sensitive children and young people.

A space to pause, reconnect with yourself and make room for whatever you're bringing — whether that's tiredness, joy, frustration, tenderness, hope, or something you can't quite put into words.

Together, we'll explore a gentle theme through embodied enquiry, sensory awareness, music and moments of connection, with meditation or deep rest and time for journalling or personal reflection.

There'll be opportunities to share and connect, but no expectation to tell your story, talk about your challenges or offer advice. This isn't a traditional parenting support group or a space for problem-solving. It's a chance to step away from some of that for a little while, and simply experience being part of a supportive circle.

Because parenting or caring for a neurodivergent, disabled or sensitive child can involve holding so much.

The appointments, the paperwork, the advocating, the researching, the conversations with schools and professionals. The constant thinking, anticipating and adapting, alongside all the ordinary things that come with family life.

And sometimes, amidst all of that, there can be very little space left for ourselves.

This is an invitation to make some of that space together.

Who is this circle for?

The Parent Carer Circle is for anyone caring for a neurodivergent, disabled or sensitive child or young person, whether their needs are formally recognised or not.

That includes parents, grandparents, kinship carers and other family members with caring responsibilities.

Your child doesn't need a formal diagnosis, and you don't need to be navigating a particular crisis or challenge to join us.

Whether you're neurodivergent yourself, exploring that possibility or neither, you're welcome here.

All genders are welcome.

We'll spend 75 minutes together, with time for connection, embodied exploration, meditation or deep rest, and gentle reflection.

A little space for you, too.

Being a parent or carer to a neurodivergent, disabled or sensitive child can mean holding a lot.

The appointments, the paperwork, the advocating, the researching, the conversations with schools and professionals. The constant thinking, anticipating, adapting and finding ways to support your child in a world that doesn't always understand or accommodate their needs or yours. And often with little or no support around you.

And alongside all of that, there's everyday family life, work, relationships, your own needs and all the other things that make us human.

Sometimes it can feel as though there's very little space left for you.

What to expect

We'll spend 90 minutes exploring a mixture of movement, somatic practices, meditation and rest, accompanied by music and gentle seasonal touches.

Everything is invitational, with space to move, adapt, rest or simply listen and be in the space as you wish. You don't need any previous experience.

Making the space your own

Join from wherever you feel comfortable. You might like to dim the lights, light a candle, wrap yourself in a blanket or bring a favourite warm drink.

Perhaps you'll dance in your socks (or barefoot), stretch out on the floor or curl up somewhere cosy.

All of you is welcome in this space.

All bodies and all genders are welcome. This is designed to be a trauma-informed, neuroaffirming and inclusive space and you do not need to celebrate Christmas to be part of it.

Cameras are optional, movement can be adapted based on what is accessible for you, and there's no expectation to speak or share if that doesn’t feel good for you. Everything is invitational and you have total agency to choose what feels right for you.
